If you are looking to immigrate to Canada by buying and running a farm, the Saskatchewan Farm Owner and Operator Category is the right program for you.
This provincial program targets foreign nationals who have:
proven experience in farming;
capital (money, assets) to invest in a farming operation; and
plan to buy and run a farm in Saskatchewan.
This category is strictly for business in primary agricultural production (crops and livestock).
Eligibility requirements
Equity: You must provide financial documents that show a net worth of CAN$500 000
Refundable Cash Deposit: You must sign a Performance Agreement to purchase and actively operate a farm in Saskatchewan. You will also need to make a "good faith" deposit of CAN$75 000 in trust. The cash deposit will be returned when you have met the terms of the Performance Agreement. If you do not meet the terms within two years of being in Saskatchewan, the deposit will be paid to the Province.
Mandatory visit to Saskatchewan: You must make an exploratory visit to Saskatchewan for at least five working days.
Farm operation knowledge and experience: You must provide documentation that demonstrates you are an experienced farm operator.
You must provide a practical, well-thought-out proposal for a commercial Saskatchewan farming opportunity.

CAN$10 000: Retainer fee - upon signature of our Legal Services Agreement
CAN$30 000: Before file submission to Saskatchewan
CAN$10 000: Upon first stage Approval
Total: CAN$50 000 + Deposit of CAN$75 000 to the Saskatchewan Authority
